Once Seniors Are Too Old to Drive, Our Transportation System Totally Fails Them

When older adults reach a time when they are no longer able to safely drive, they have to turn to friends, family and public transportation to maintin mobility. Unfortunately, public transportation, the favored option of those looking to maintain independent mobility, is unavailable in a large portion of the country. However, recent changes in transportation trends, including the introduction of services like Lyft and Uber, and the advent of the autonomous vehcile, offer the hope of increased mobility for aging seniors.
